More About Our garden sheds

The Main difference between a Garden Shed and a Wendy House is that the Shed is used for storage and not for living in.
Sheds have an Apex’ed roof, allowing for standing inside and have a wall height from the floor to the lowest point of the roof inside the unit, of 1.9m, excluding the floor thickness of 100mm and the Apex of 300mm which makes the overall height 2.2m. This is before any bricks or blocks are taken into account. These can be made higher if necessary but most boundary walls are +/- 1.9m and if they protrude too high, sometimes neighbours can complain.
All our structures are built on an ’A’ frame system and have interlocking corners. Our studs (upright wall beams) are no further than 600mm apart ensuring the cladding is securely fixed. All Timber is pneumatically nailed with galvanized F-type gun nails, this reduces stress on the Timber and ensures that the cladding and framing is securely fixed.
All Timber is machined and not rough band saw material, this gives flat surfaces, better finishes and ensures that the Timber is securely flush against each other.
All our units come completely in kit-form and are Screwed together on site. This is most important as, if the unit ever needs to be moved or re-sold, it ensures easy dismantling and re-assembly. It also reduces noise levels on site. This also makes it possible for the units to be purchased in kit-form to be assembled by the DIY customer.
All our prices quoted include delivery and assembly in the Greater Cape Town Area.
The floors come in a 3 way pallet-form system consisting of three layers, the Top decking planks, the in between Mezzanine bearers no wider apart than 300mm and the Under struts.
The Roofs are manufactured from Corrugated Iron and coupled with Alu-Bubble Sisulation makes for a high grade insulated roof which keeps a constant temperature inside, no matter what the temperatures are outside.

Please note: our payment policy is 50% Deposit before construction, balance on date of delivery - cash or EFT.
